Where to celebrate New Year's Eve in London

While we love Christmas here at Haute Living, we love New Year’s Eve even more! You could spend the 31 December holed up at home with the rellies but let's be honest: where’s the celebration there? If you want a magical New Year’s Eve you need to look to (central) London. Got the message? Good. Here’s our pick of the places to see off 2014 in style...

  • 1. BOBO Social

Recently launched high-end burger and small plates dining concept, Bobo Social will be celebrating New Year's Eve this year by transporting you back to the 1920s prohibition era with a bang. The evening will feature an array of creative canapés and cocktails for revellers as well as live music from the era, a magician and a blackjack table, straight out of one of Jay Gatsby infamous parties. BOBO Social is the first solo project from talented operators Michael Benson and Jacinta Maddison.

  • 2. City Social

See in the New Year in style at City Social with spectacular views across the city and a Michelin starred dinner. Executive chef, Paul Walsh, and his team have created two bespoke menus for diners to choose from: an early doors four-course dinner, at £125 per head, or an extravagant six-course menu, at £295 per head. Alternatively guests can reserve a booth in the City Social bar, or just walk in, to enjoy creative cocktails and view London from a height as it lights up at midnight.

  • 3. Madison

This New Year, Madison boasts a slice of Manhattan-style glamour with its new look restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace. Celebrate the start of 2015 with Midnight Madness at Madison: a night of burlesque, outrageous acts and DJ Superstars, not to mention a string quartet. Doors open at 7pm for a Prosecco reception and the party will continue until 2am.

  • 4. The Ritz London

The Palm Court will be hosting a 1920's themed evening complete with a four-course dinner, marching band, live music and dancing for £750 per person/£300 per child. Alternatively, the black tie Gala Dinner, priced at £1,200 per person, will take place in The Ritz Restaurant with a six course dinner with Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Champagne, as well as a fireworks display.

  • 5. Uncle Barts

This New Year’s Eve, Uncle Barts and his pals invite you to come to celebrate the start of 2015 at their fifth annual house party at Barts, hidden within a private apartment block on Sloane Avenue. For £120 on the door, revellers can enjoy a special Belvedere cocktail menu. Apartment block beats will be booming (obvs) and then, as the clock strikes midnight, there will be a complimentary Veuve Clicquot toast and a cheeky sing along to Auld Lange Syne! Finally, for those that love a house party but have maybe out grown the desire to sit on the floor, stairs or fence, table booking tickets are also available. So for the best of both worlds, the comfort and cosiness of home and craziness of a party too, why not knock on the door at Barts?
