Last week’s instalment broke down the cost of a five day solo trip to California which, as a result of ill-planning and reckless Uber spending, turned out to be more a financial lesson in how not to go on holiday.
Mine was a destination wedding on, erm, the Isle Of Wight. The bride hails from Reading while the groom is a Californian but they got engaged on the island. hence why they wanted to get hitched there.
